2025 Farm Tours

Take a guided tour of our farm and learn about agriculture and animals. You'll see firsthand how we grow our produce and how we take care of our animals, and you'll learn about the importance of small-scale farming. Our tours are great for families, school groups, and anyone who wants to learn about farming and animal care.

Arts and crafts are great for children of all ages. This series of four workshops will keep participants learning fun and engaged.Led by Lark Comedy Institute Founder and Director, Kelli McBride, who created the very successful South Bend "Lark Arts" program, she is now bringing her talents to Cedar Hill Sanctuary.Kelli will lead a number of arts and craft projects that have a wide range of decorative and creative themes for the Fall season.Each participant receives an artist kit with materials that includes oil and chalk pastels, watercolor, project papers, and more.These workshops will not only be fun, they will also develop the participants critical-thinking skills, creative confidence, hands-on skills, visual literacy, and self-esteem.

About Joseph: 

Joseph is a yogi who can help you become aware and in control of your Monkey Mind by scientific techniques of yoga/meditation. These scientific techniques consist of the integration of the mind, body, and soul. These solutions cater to all ages of life which  are universal and simplistic approaches that are sustainable, holistic and inclusive in nature. Joseph is a published author, entrepreneur, professor, yoga instructor, meditation teacher, and friend to all.

Join Diana Blimling from MIshawaka, as she leads a crochet workshop. Crochet is a needle craft that involves using a crochet hook to interlock loops of yarn or thread to create textiles. A great time and fun learning all the techniques.


Bring a hook and a skein of yarn of your choice. You will make a scarf.

Kelli will lead a number of Improv workshops bringing her many years of experience formerly from Second City Chicago, Improv Olympic, and Annoyance Theater.


These workshops will not only be fun, they will also develop the participants communications skills, team work, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
 

Kelli has worked with many students of all ages and adults over the years, including the neuro diverse. We are offering enrichment classes for everyone from the nervous beginner to the seasoned professional. Our program consists of various class offerings and workshops. The Lark Comedy Institute (https://www.thelarkcomedyinstitute.com/) is excited to have partnered with Cedar Hill Sanctuary to provide the improv offerings.

Coach Ed Moskal will lead the camp bringing 16 years of college and 8 years of youth baseball coaching, including coaching in the South Bend Warren Little League.


Campers pack a lunch and drink.


Our goal is to create a friendly environment for youth baseball players to improve their skills in hitting, fielding, and pitching while building confidence and character. Positive mindset is the pathway to success.


Baseball is a fun and challenging game that requires players to develop the ability to overcome mistakes and to look forward to their next opportunity. Ultimately, the development of skills through proper mechanics will be the guideline for our program, which we believe will create better baseball players and better young men.

Explore Planets and Stars

Astronomy is a science that studies everything outside of the earth's atmosphere, such as planets, stars, asteroids, galaxies; and the properties and relationships of those celestial bodies. Astronomers base their studies on research and observation. Join us using our Celestron, smart phone-ready telescope as we explore the Universe.

Join Ed Moskal as he teaches you about the Universe, Solar System, Planets and Stars.

Bring your cell phone to take pictures of your "out of this world" observations.


All participants will have hands-on and learn how to use the telescope.
